Hello, my name is James Middleton and I am the author of ‘Y Ministry?’. This blog is a platform for discussing all things related to youth and young adult ministry.
In my spare time I love to play sport, read books and play board games with friends. I have a fiancée, her name is Kelsey. She lives in New York State (yes, long distance). The wedding is set for June 23rd, 2012.
What I ‘hope’ that I am known as is a disciple of Jesus Christ, striving to learn more about what it means to follow after him. ‘Apprenticed to Jesus’ in other words. I believe he is ‘the way, the truth & the life’ (John 14:6) and so am trying to follow his way, discern his truth and live as he did here on earth. It’s tough!
For the last 8 years I have been involved, in some way, in ministry with Youth and Young Adults. I have filled both paid and volunteer roles in this area. I have a real passion to help young people discover the life that God intended for them to live.
I am currently the Youth Pastor at Inglewood Community Church, a role that I really enjoy. I have been in this role since the start of 2010. As part of my role there I am currently the playing a lead role in planting a campus of our church aimed at reaching the students at our local university.
